Senior Software Engineer, Trading Platform, C++

In this role you will contribute to DRW’s low-latency trading platform from our London office. You will design, develop and maintain core infrastructure that supports order routing, market data and risk systems. You will optimize performance across Linux, socket I/O and multi-threaded components to meet strict latency and availability targets. You join a team focused on high-impact technical work that underpins DRW’s fast-paced, global trading operations. This position offers a chance to shape systems used across multiple asset classes and markets.

• design, develop and maintain the low-latency trading platform
• work on order routing, market data and risk systems
• optimize performance and troubleshoot in Linux/socket I/O environments
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-availability systems
• contribute to projects involving real-time data processing and large data throughput

• 5+ years of C++ development in high-availability, low-latency environments
• strong multi-threading and hardware/software interaction knowledge
• expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting (Linux, socket I/O)
• experience with STL and Boost
• knowledge of C++23 standards
• experience building complex systems such as custom compilers or matching engines
