Senior Software Engineer – Ultra Low Latency Risk Engine Developer (VP)

As an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst, you will drive the design and delivery of robust application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. You’ll lead complex analysis and programming efforts, aligning solutions with the architecture blueprint while coaching mid-level developers. Your work will focus on reliable delivery, risk-aware decisions, and enabling business goals through scalable software. This role offers the chance to shape high-impact projects in a global financial context and work across cross-functional teams.

• Partner with management teams to align functions and identify system enhancements for new products and process improvements
• Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating business processes and system standards
• Provide expert knowledge in applications programming and ensure designs follow the architecture blueprint
• Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards and ensure system integration
• Gain deep knowledge of business areas (architecture and infrastructure) to meet goals
• Perform in-depth analysis to define issues and craft innovative solutions
• Coach and supervise mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and Citi policies, and escalate control issues transparently

• 6-10 years of relevant Apps Development or systems analysis experience
• Expert-level Core Java knowledge with JVM internals, concurrency, GC, and memory management for low-latency contexts
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming
• Experience managing and delivering successful projects
• SME in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adapt priorities quickly
