Senior Solid Waste Data Analyst

Lead Solid Waste data engineering and business intelligence for the City of Vancouver in a regular full-time position based in Vancouver.

The Senior Solid Waste Data Systems Analyst designs, implements, governs, and improves Databricks data platforms and products. The role translates business requirements into scalable solutions supporting operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic needs. It combines data modeling, analytics, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Databricks warehouse, pipeline, and analytics solution development
• Design integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
• Create Power BI data products, visualizations, and analysis
• Develop quality controls for accurate business data outputs
• Present findings to leaders and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Minimum five years’ related data warehousing and business intelligence experience
• Minimum three years’ user engagement and requirements gathering experience
• Advanced Power BI, SQL, Python, and data visualization knowledge
• Experience leading data or technology projects through completion
