Senior Solutions Architect

In this role you guide customers to design and build reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform, shaping architectures for both cloud and on‑prem deployments. You will partner with sales to move opportunities forward and serve as a trusted advisor to a wide range of customers from startups to enterprise IT. You will work in a cross‑functional, hybrid London team to translate complex technical value into clear business outcomes. • Design and architect scalable, performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies with clear business value
• Partner with sales to drive account success including discovery, demos, value proof, and pipeline generation
• Proactively generate demand and participate in events and ABM activities within the sales territory
• Foster strong customer relationships, build champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction
• Drive continuous innovation by sharing field feedback with product and mentoring team members
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with MongoDB products and industry trends

• 8 to 11 years in customer-facing roles; 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software
• 3+ years in professional software development or scripting (Python, Node.js, SQL) or languages (C/C++, Java, C#)
• Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on‑prem
• Ability to review complex customer architectures and provide technology-led improvements
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to convey complex concepts to technical and business leaders
• Ability to strategize with sales to drive multi-threaded account plans using MongoDB and ecosystem resources
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
