Senior Solutions Architect , National Security & Defence

As an AWS Solutions Architect for the UK Public Sector, you will own the technical relationship with government, education, healthcare, and non-profit customers, guiding security, cost, performance, and reliability decisions. You’ll advocate for customers to influence AWS feature roadmaps and help shape the Solutions Architecture community through coaching and knowledge sharing. You will craft cloud-native reference architectures and publish best practices to drive successful outcomes at scale. • Own the technical relationship with customers and advise on security, cost, performance, reliability and best-practice architectures
• Advocate for customer needs to inform AWS roadmap and drive platform improvements
• Shape the Solutions Architecture organisation through hiring, coaching and mentoring
• Implement or document cloud-native reference architectures and contribute to global AWS SA community
• Create and share best practices, technical content, and reference architectures (white papers, code samples, blogs)
• Educate customers about AWS technology via workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking or online content
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver disruptive cloud computing solutions for the public sector

• Experience in design, implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience in IT development or consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
• Willingness to undergo UK government security clearance and meet residency requirements
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective (preferred)
• Experience with technical roles in sales, pre-sales, or consulting (preferred)
• Cloud technology certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering) (preferred)
