Senior Solutions Engineer, UK&I

As a Solutions Engineer at Okta, you act as a trusted advisor across the full sales lifecycle, shaping how customers secure identities with Okta’s platform. You build compelling sales content, demonstrations, and technical education for a diverse audience, from developers to C-level executives. You combine technical insight with business sense to articulate value and drive outcomes for large enterprise teams. This role offers the chance to influence identity security at scale, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Create sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on securing identity
• Act as a trusted technical advisor across the sales lifecycle
• Empathize with customers to uncover true technical needs and tailor solutions
• Advise diverse customers on capabilities of Okta’s Identity Platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer success

• PreSales experience (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, PreSales Consultant)
• Strong ability to explain complex ideas on the fly, e.g., at a whiteboard
• Knowledge of security protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP)
• Knowledge of identity governance and administration (IGA) including lifecycle, reviews, RBAC, policy enforcement
• Knowledge of Privilege Access Management (PAM) concepts (least privilege, JIT, session monitoring, vaulting)
• Understanding of core application security concerns (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF)
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC and sales methodologies
• Experience with Large Enterprise and/or Strategic sectors
• Excellent communication and ability to convey business value
• Ability to translate technical concepts to highly skilled audiences
• Willingness to travel and collaborate cross-functionally
