Overview
As a Senior SRE at Pigment, you will design and implement scalable infrastructure to meet real-time data challenges while maintaining high availability. You’ll work closely with software engineers to ensure performance, reliability, and secure pipelines as the platform grows globally. You’ll lead observability efforts, participate in incident response, and drive automation across development practices. This role combines hands-on engineering with shaping reliable, scalable infrastructure for a fast-growing SaaS product.
Responsibilities- Define and build scalable infrastructure to meet performance challenges and enable auto-scaling
- Ensure high availability and redundancy of the Pigment platform
- Promote observability; monitor performance and correctness across the stack
- Participate in incident response
- Support geographic expansion and onboarding of overseas clients
- Collaborate with security to implement infrastructure and development-pipeline improvements (credentials, repo)
- Drive inefficiency reductions and automation across pipelines and development practices
- Contribute to software development activities and collaborate with software engineers
- Software engineer and DevOps/SRE experience
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus
- Experience with a public cloud provider; GCP is a plus
- Proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Jaeger)
