Capital One Canada seeks a Senior Staff Engineer for its Software Studio and International Card Tech team. You will align technology solutions with business goals while applying open source, RESTful APIs, microservices, and container practices. The work supports scalable, secure solutions for a heavily regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design architectural solutions aligned with business goals and frameworks
• Create and review Architectural Decision Records and High-Level Designs
• Participate in Architectural Review Board governance forums
• Collaborate with stakeholders on technology strategies and innovation
• Mentor teams in architectural practices and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• At least eight years in software engineering or systems architecture
• At least two years creating public cloud solution architectures
• Experience architecting scalable, decoupled systems in regulated environments
• Experience mentoring software engineers or architects
• AWS concepts and implementations experience preferred
