Senior Staff Software Development Engineer

Overview

In this Senior Staff Software role, you design and implement embedded firmware for AMD networking products within the Cambridge UK Network Technology Group. You will collaborate with silicon, host driver, and system-test teams to drive high-performance networking software from design to release. You tackle complex hardware/software interfaces and apply embedded debugging to deliver robust solutions. Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded firmware for AMD networking products
• Collaborate with silicon teams to refine designs and model RTL
• Work with host driver teams to develop high-performance network stacks
• Coordinate with system test to bring products to release
• Engage with multiple AMD sites to align on architecture and delivery

• Experience with software at silicon or networking companies
• Proficiency in C / Embedded C
• Experience with Python and scripting languages
• Strong communication skills
• Hardware/software co-design knowledge
• Ethernet & TCP/IP expertise
• Embedded systems with device drivers experience
• Understanding of server architectures (PCI-Express)
• Experience with Linux systems
• Experience in digital design (EDA tools, Verilog, VHDL)
