Overview

In this role you will help shape the supportability of Leonardo’s complex systems across their lifecycle. You’ll influence design to enhance reliability, maintainability and through-life cost efficiency, partnering with multidisciplinary teams within the Integrated Sensors & Protection group. You will apply ILS methods and supportability tools to deliver robust, customer-focused solutions for mission-critical programmes. The position offers cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement opportunities, and a clear impact on operators’ performance. Responsibilities
  • Own and contribute to a range of Supportability analysis tasks
  • Develop understanding of through-life costing principles
  • Tailor programmes of work to applicable standards and guidance
  • Apply Supportability tools effectively
  • Contribute to team tasks and outputs
  • Work closely with other disciplines in daily business
  • Produce work independently with sound judgement
  • Support and develop other team members
  • Independently identify problems and propose solutions
  • Peer-review colleagues' work
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement activities
Key requirements
  • Experience of support design reviews and customer meetings; presenting ILS evidence and guidance
  • Experience in ILS on mission-critical programmes; awareness of Defence Logistics Framework and Def Stan 00-600
  • Understanding of ILS methods: supportability analysis, software support, safety, supply support, maintenance and progressive assurance
  • Experience in applying AR&M methodologies within engineering projects
  • Strong stakeholder skills, able to influence and build trust
