Overview

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will contribute to defence testing, evaluation and mission rehearsal programmes. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, architect solutions and guide integration from concept to deployment. The role blends hands-on delivery with governance, across multi-technology system domains. You’ll collaborate with project managers and customers to deliver operationally valuable capabilities, solving complex problems at scale. Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver systems supporting defence testing, evaluation and mission rehearsal activities
  • Work across technologies including surveillance, instrumentation, and integrated C2/communications
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers and multidisciplinary teams to implement solutions with operational value
  • Define requirements and develop architectures across the full engineering lifecycle
  • Support integration and verification activities and contribute to delivery into service
  • Engage with customers and suppliers for platform integration
  • Contribute to hands-on engineering work across a diverse set of technologies
Key requirements
  • Experience in systems engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and governance processes
  • Track record delivering projects from concept to implementation
  • Knowledge of systems integration involving hardware, software, communications or infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in defence, aerospace, transport, communications or complex engineering environments is advantageous
