Senior Systems Developer

Two permanent Senior Systems Developers join the IT and Business Change team at The Guinness Partnership. The work covers the full development lifecycle of business applications, from design and coding through to testing and documentation, plus fixing complex, business-critical faults. The focus is Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Field Service, with hybrid working of two days in the office and three remote. Proven people management experience is essential.
What the job involves
- Support all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, configuration, installation, testing and documentation
- Build applications that support business operations
- Resolve technically complex and business-critical issues
- Deliver consistently high-quality solutions
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification (GCSE grade C or above, or 9 to 4, or equivalent)
Experience
- Proven professional experience developing, programming and integrating Dynamics 365 solutions
- Significant commercial experience configuring, extending and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM and Field Service
- Extensive experience in one or more languages such as SQL, .NET, C# or Python
- Broad experience with ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, cloud, AI, IoT or RPA solutions
- Experience analysing requirements, documenting design, coding, unit testing and deployment
- Proven people management experience
Skills & knowledge
- Experience with development approaches such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum or DevOps
- Experience delivering in structured approaches using Azure DevOps, JIRA or equivalent tools
- Some experience or awareness of Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, SQL Server and Azure
- Strong problem-solving, debugging and issue resolution skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Other
- Willingness to learn new technologies, platforms and programming languages in the role
Nice to have
- Degree in an IT or STEM discipline, or equivalent
- IT systems development certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure Integration Services or similar
- APM, Prince2, Agile Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master or equivalent
