Overview

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will guide product delivery across the full lifecycle, from requirements to acceptance. You’ll work in a defence-focused environment, often on training systems, balancing technical oversight with delivery. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, procurement support, and stakeholder coordination, with travel and security clearance requirements. You will contribute to system architecture, documentation, and continuous improvement, in a hybrid, client-facing setup.

Responsibilities
  • Define work packages and technical requirements with the Solution Architect
  • Contribute to execution and delivery of key work packages
  • Specify and qualify products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to procure and implement training devices
  • Coordinate with subcontractors responsible for design and delivery
  • Support problem resolution within the team and improve planned system operation
  • Create and maintain system configuration documentation
  • Champion EHS compliance and continuous improvement
  • Travel as needed to support internal and customer meetings
Key requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent training
  • Strong experience in systems engineering, especially the V-model
  • Experience with systems engineering standards and techniques
  • Experience writing scopes of work and acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of Systems of Systems development
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% with a valid driving licence
  • BPSS and SC clearance eligibility or possession
