Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Thales OME, you will contribute to the end‑to‑end systems engineering design for defence systems. You’ll define requirements, shape interfaces, and specify system behavior while developing and executing verification and integration activities. You’ll work within a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure requirements are met and evidence is gathered to support validation. This role requires security clearance and may involve travel to Thales sites and customer/ test facilities, across UK locations.

• Define system requirements for the product
• Create design documentation capturing the systems design
• Define internal and external interfaces of the system
• Functionally define system behavior
• Develop test procedures for verification
• Perform integration and verification testing
• Gather evidence that requirements are achieved
• Peer review technical artefacts
• Support the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge

• Experience in Requirements Engineering (elicitation, decomposition, analysis)
• Ability to define system interfaces and boundaries impacting design
• Experience analyzing operational concepts of a system
• Good communication and proactive mindset
