As a Senior Rail Systems Engineer at AECOM you will lead safety-focused railway systems work within the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team. You will develop system definitions, architectures and requirements to support lifecycle delivery of rail projects. You’ll oversee requirement management using DOORS or ComplyPro and provide technical leadership to project teams. You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure quality, cost accuracy, and compliant design while shaping safety and interoperability outcomes for UK rail clients.

- Develop system engineering plans, definitions, requirements and architectures for rail projects
- Oversee management of technical requirements using DOORS and ComplyPro
- Deliver systems engineering processes to support customer requirements
- Evaluate relationships between requirements and design aspects
- Develop scope of works and work packages; act as senior technical resource
- Provide specialized input to design studies and procedures for quality and cost efficiency
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary reviews of deliverables and develop cost estimates
- Support engineering budget and schedule development to meet requirements
- Prepare technical specification sections and contribute to design calculations
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- experience in railway systems safety and assurance including system safety and interoperability
- knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations
