Overview

In this role you will contribute to the nuclear systems engineering lifecycle within AECOM’s multi-disciplinary team. You will support lifecycle activities for nuclear, MoD, and security-classified projects, helping ensure traceability and certification. You’ll collaborate with diverse engineers and clients to deliver unified designs, while advancing Systems Engineering capabilities. Responsibilities
  • Support the Systems Engineering Discipline Lead in Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management and IVVQ
  • Interface with client technical and non-technical teams on-site and remotely
  • Author and review technical documentation and processes
  • Apply Systems Engineering best practices to grow the team’s capability
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle traceability and reporting to achieve certification and delivery
  • Work autonomously and within a cross-disciplinary team to ensure unified designs
Key requirements
  • Experience and understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-model and associated processes/lifecycles
  • Degree qualified in STEM or similar subject
  • Chartered Engineer or on path with appropriate institute
  • Currently SC cleared or able to meet SC requirements
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (Defence, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear)
  • Experience in writing and reviewing high quality technical documentation
  • Experience in decomposing, authoring and managing System-Level Requirements
  • Knowledge of SE practices, methodologies and tools (SEBoK, INCOSE, NASA System Engineering, DOORS)
