Senior Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Agilent, you provide system-level technical leadership for complex scientific instruments. You will work across software, firmware, electronics, mechanics, and operations to ensure integrated, robust product solutions. Your role focuses on translating needs into technical specs, guiding architectures, and driving successful delivery of innovative measurements tools. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional position with a clear impact on product performance and reliability. You will shape technical direction and resolve challenging integration issues, contributing to Agilent’s instrumentation leadership.

• Define, capture, and manage system-level requirements with traceability to implementation and verification
• Lead integration of hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical subsystems into instrument solutions
• Act as technical focal point across engineering disciplines to resolve cross-functional challenges
• Define system verification and validation strategies and test approaches
• Lead root cause analysis and structured troubleshooting across subsystems
• Coach and mentor engineers, contribute to best-practices in systems engineering, and potentially undertake line management

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
• Significant experience in a Systems Engineering role within a complex product development environment
• Demonstrated success integrating multidisciplinary systems involving hardware, firmware, and software
• Strong experience in system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple engineering disciplines
