Overview

In this role you lead and secure the firm’s infrastructure, focusing on AD, Azure, MFA, and virtualization within the Cloud & Compute Engineering group. You drive availability, security, and process improvements across Windows and cloud environments. You will manage projects, mentor peers, and respond to outages or security gaps with scripted, scalable solutions. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and leadership in a dynamic IT operations context.

Responsibilities
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and PKI services; ensure high availability and security
  • Lead security work streams for AD consolidation; identify risks and remediation gaps
  • Develop PowerShell scripts and automation (PowerShell/Terraform) to discover and remediate issues
  • Manage Azure IaaS/PaaS and Office 365/Exchange Online environments
  • Install/maintain hardware and software on a virtualized Windows network
  • Develop processes to sustain availability, security, and quality across managed environments
  • Handle change management processes and capacity forecasting to prevent outages
  • Provide escalation support and guidance for complex production issues
  • Assist with information security risk and compliance topics
  • Lead crisis management efforts and cross-team communication during incidents
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Compute and Messaging Engineering teams and IT Operations leaders
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of production environment support
  • 3–5+ years troubleshooting authentication services
  • 5+ years automation experience (PowerShell/Terraform)
  • 5+ years advanced Active Directory experience
  • Knowledge of AKS, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies
  • Strong understanding of MFA, Azure IaaS/PaaS and Enterprise Apps
  • Windows Server 2019/2016 AD/GPOs expertise
  • Scripting and troubleshooting in Windows environments; user/security administration
  • Experience with VMware virtualization and related administration
  • Desirable: Exchange, HP Proliant/iLO, Linux, Citrix, load balancing, AWS, cloud security tools
  • Must be a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills
