Senior Technical Accounting Advisor

Apply technical accounting expertise and IFRS knowledge as a Senior Advisor, Controllership in Montreal, with hybrid work onsite three days weekly.

This senior controllership role provides financial reporting oversight and governance support within a complex business environment. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, Commercial, and Tax stakeholders. The work combines technical accounting, analytical review, and business advisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply IFRS to complex transactions, judgments, estimates, and disclosures
• Review month-end results, reconciliations, journal entries, and submissions
• Conduct variance analysis and explain financial performance trends
• Identify reporting risks and recommend control mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders on accounting matters

Requirements:

• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Experience in technical accounting, reporting, and controllership
• Proven IFRS experience in complex business environments
• Experience with controls, audits, reconciliations, and financial judgments
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English
