Senior Technical Business Analyst

Overview

In this role you help define and deliver a portfolio of client-facing projects as part of Version 1’s consulting team. You will analyze problems, translate business needs into solution designs, and collaborate with developers to deliver technical solutions. You will perform data analysis using SQL, Excel and Power BI, produce BRDs, and manage stakeholders from executive levels to developers. You’ll support UAT and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end project success in a consultancy/public sector context. Responsibilities
  • Perform root cause analysis and translate needs into solution designs and system specifications
  • Collaborate with development teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs
  • Produce data analysis, mapping and analytics using SQL, Excel and Power BI
  • Produce detailed Business Requirements Specification Documents
  • Stakeholder management across levels from c-suite to developers
  • Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, coordinating with stakeholders, and validating solutions using Azure DevOps, Jira, and test management tools
  • End-to-end project involvement from workshops through to design and delivery
Key requirements
  • Business Analysis experience within Consultancy or Public Sector environment
  • Proven track record in producing BRDs and business processes mapping/documents
  • Agile delivery experience within an Agile delivery team
  • Digital or Application Modernisation project experience
  • Experience reviewing Functional Specification Documents to align with BRDs
  • Experience on large-scale and smaller projects defining and designing business solutions
  • Discovery, technical and data capability with strong SQL
  • Confident, articulate, proactive consultants
  • Good project management skills and ability to plan and meet deadlines
