Overview
In this role you will drive healthcare IT projects in radiology, focusing on PACS implementation and DICOM/HL7 workflow optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust IT solutions that support clinical operations and data integrity. You’ll troubleshoot complex workflow issues, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders. The opportunity combines healthcare domain expertise with cloud and infrastructure capabilities to enable transformative patient care.
Responsibilities- Lead PACS implementation initiatives within radiology departments
- Troubleshoot DICOM workflow issues and optimize radiology IT workflows
- Work with HL7, DICOM, and other healthcare interface standards
- Analyze data, perform root cause analyses, and communicate findings
- Develop technical documentation, capability assessments, and risk assessments
- Engage stakeholders, support program management, and deliver presentations
- Assess cloud adoption and participate in cloud-based infrastructure efforts
- Contribute to strategic planning and capability development
- 8+ years of PACS implementation experience
- Knowledge of radiology workflow and radiology IT informatics
- Healthcare IT/IS experience
- Experience with Windows Server
- Strong knowledge of HL7 and DICOM; networking concepts
- SQL/Oracle experience
- Experience with cloud environments
- Preferred AWS Cloud Practitioner certification; AWS concepts like EC2 and S3
- Strong written and verbal communication
