Overview

As a Senior Technical Leader in PSD Scotland's Data & Analytics service, you will shape the design, delivery and ongoing support of data, BI and analytics solutions. You will work in a cross-functional team to ensure robust, scalable data platforms that underpin health and care services. Your technical guidance will help manage risk, optimise performance and align solutions with organisational standards. Responsibilities
  • lead design, delivery and support of data, BI and analytics solutions (data pipelines, warehousing, enterprise reporting)
  • provide expert technical advice and act as authority on solution design and delivery
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain and enhance live services and adopt new standards
  • manage incidents, change requests and delivery against plans and milestones in a fast-paced environment
  • drive continuous improvement, technical innovation and capability development
  • support enablement activities to promote best practices and knowledge sharing
Key requirements
  • significant experience leading the design, development and implementation of data, BI and analytics solutions (data warehousing, ETL/ELT, enterprise reporting)
  • strong SQL and Python skills with coding, data processing and performance optimisation
  • ability to provide expert technical analysis to stakeholders and act as technical authority
  • experience in ITIL/ITSM environments and aligning strategy with delivery
  • ability to assess and manage technical risk and deliver innovative solutions under pressure
  • experience delivering within Agile or DevOps delivery frameworks and meeting milestones
  • strong stakeholder management
  • clear communication of complex technical concepts
  • excellent organisational skills under pressure
