Senior Technical Manager - Major Residential Development

I'm working with a well-established residential developer who are looking to bring an experienced Senior Technical Manager into their team to take a leading role on a major development in Southall.

This is a substantial scheme of around 1,500 residential units, made up of multiple buildings and phases, so they are looking for someone who is comfortable operating at a senior level and managing the technical requirements of a large, complex development.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the technical function across a major 1,500-unit residential development
• Managing the design process from the current stage through to construction and delivery
• Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors
• Overseeing design development, technical approvals and information release
• Working closely with the development, commercial and construction teams
• Managing technical risks and resolving design issues before they impact delivery
• Supporting the wider project team through procurement and mobilisation
• Providing technical leadership across multiple phases and buildings
• Managing and mentoring more junior members of the technical team as the project progresses

The ideal candidate:

• Senior Technical Manager / Technical Manager with strong residential development experience
• Experience working for a developer/client or a Tier 1 / Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong experience across large-scale, multi-phase residential schemes
• Good understanding of RC frame construction and design management
• Comfortable managing consultants and coordinating complex design information
• BSR / Building Safety Act experience would be highly advantageous
• Able to operate at a senior level and take ownership of the technical function

This is a sizeable project and a role that offers genuine scope and responsibility within a growing residential business.
