Overview
As a Senior Technical Operations Engineer, you will manage and optimize production environments, balancing high availability and performance for critical government and enterprise workloads. You’ll join OCI’s Government, Defence, and Intelligence team to troubleshoot complex incidents, guide junior engineers, and help scale cloud operations. You’ll work across hardware, software, and database layers to improve reliability and supportability in a 24/7, high-stakes setting. This role offers hands-on problem solving in a security-conscious, growth-driven cloud environment with impact on mission-critical outcomes.

- Install, monitor, and optimize production server hardware and software
- Provide advanced technical support and lead problem management cases
- Coordinate escalations and manage third-party/vendor resources for storage infrastructures
- Assist with OS and application upgrades, bug fixes, and standardization projects within the Oracle tech stack
- Support production environments on a 24/7 basis with rotating day/night shifts
- Linux System Administration experience
- Kubernetes experience
- Cloud experience
- Exadata, Networking, Database, Storage, Compute, Virtualization and Troubleshooting knowledge
- Understanding of infrastructure as code tooling
- Experience in incident bridges or incident management
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to train others
- Willingness to obtain security clearance for government projects
