Overview

As a Senior Technical Specialist - DMPK at IQVIA in Cambridge, you will lead bioanalytical efforts for in vivo DMPK studies within early drug discovery. You combine hands-on LC-MS expertise with project leadership, mentoring, and process improvement to deliver high-quality data across small and large molecules. You will drive method development, troubleshooting, and innovation in analytical approaches while collaborating in a matrix, multi-disciplinary environment. Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize and perform bioanalysis of in vivo DMPK samples for small and large molecules in early discovery
  • Operate and troubleshoot UPLC-MS systems and chromatography methods
  • Analyze diverse sample types (plasma, blood, brain, lung, bile, feces, urine) and determine pharmacokinetic parameters
  • Lead scientific and technical projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data
  • Mentor and coach colleagues, acting as a technical role model and SME
  • Drive innovation via novel assays, protocols and analytical approaches
  • Plan, execute and document experiments with strong organisational and time-management skills
Key requirements
  • BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific area
  • Pharma/biotech or equivalent industry experience
  • Expert user of mass spectrometry instrumentation
  • Experience in bioanalytical method development for challenging analytes in complex matrices
  • Accurate and diligent experimental planning, execution and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player
  • Project management experience
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues
