Overview

In this Platform Architect role, you will lead enterprise-scale data and integration platforms across Snowflake, Confluent Cloud Kafka, and cloud-native tech. You’ll shape platform strategy, governance, and modernization, while guiding secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products and modern integration patterns. This position emphasizes hands-on guidance and strategic architecture leadership in a cloud-first, DevOps-enabled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Define enterprise platform architecture, standards, and guardrails
  • Develop modernization roadmaps for Data, Streaming, Integration, and Platform Engineering
  • Lead architecture reviews and platform transformation initiatives
  • Establish governance, security, resilience, scalability, and cost-optimization frameworks
  • Oversee Snowflake architecture including security, RBAC, data sharing, and multi-environment strategy
  • Set enterprise data platform standards and best practices for ops and performance
  • Guide warehouse sizing, workload management, and cost optimization
  • Design event-driven architecture with Confluent Cloud and govern topic, schema, HA/DR
  • Establish CI/CD standards using GitHub Actions and drive IaC and automation
  • Define Data Mesh principles, governance, and interoperability with Snowflake, Kafka, APIs
  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to enable scalable data products
Key requirements
  • Multiple years in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Integration, or Data Platforms
  • Must have led a large multi-technology data platform cloud program
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake and/or Confluent Kafka
  • Experience with Confluent Cloud, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and event-driven architecture
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, DevOps automation, and IaC
  • Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP cloud platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms
  • Deep understanding of Data Mesh, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and platform operations
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
