Overview

In this TechOps Generalist role, you will shape and run the modern, cloud-first IT operations function to support a fast-growing energy tech business. You’ll partner with Security and cross-functional teams to balance security, productivity, and user experience. You’ll lead varied projects, from identity and access management migrations to device and network deployments, while implementing self-service and automation to improve efficiency. This position offers broad scope across 1st-line support to strategic planning in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver day-to-day technical support across the business to enable efficient work
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues from devices to network and SSO problems
  • Collaborate with Security to balance security with productivity and user experience
  • Automate processes and build self-service solutions to empower users
  • Monitor and maintain office technology globally (networks, AV, access control, etc.)
  • Manage supplier relationships and procurement for SaaS and hardware
  • Lead complex cross-functional technical projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Roll out and migrate identity providers and device management solutions
  • Implement phishing-resistant MFA and posture/compliance controls
  • Support office network design and tech fit-outs
Key requirements
  • Breadth of experience across enterprise IT (systems, DevOps, tech support, or sysadmin)
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to both peers and non-technical users
  • Experience scripting, APIs, and automating repetitive tasks
  • Comfort with ambiguity and multitasking across projects
  • Experience with macOS, Windows, iOS and Android device support
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management systems (Okta or Microsoft Entra) and SSO technologies (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)
  • Understanding of provisioning technologies (SCIM)
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki networks
  • Conscientious, ethical approach to work and problem solving
  • Willingness to learn areas not yet in own experience
