Senior Test Automation Developer Python

Build Python automation for Ford vehicle software platforms, focusing on stress testing, endurance validation, and embedded system robustness. This hybrid position requires onsite work four or more days weekly.

As a test developer on Ford of Canada’s ECG test team, you will support vehicle technologies through automated testing. The work combines Python development, object-oriented design, embedded systems testing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help validate software behavior under sustained load, edge-case conditions, and long-duration execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and stress testing expectations
• Develop Python stress, soak, and stability frameworks
• Design embedded-platform tests for performance and resource utilization
• Maintain automated test suite execution
• Triage failures, crashes, and performance degradation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Five-plus years in test automation and tools development
• Three-plus years of Python and object-oriented design
• Three-plus years testing embedded systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software defects
