Senior Test Engineer

£35,000 - 40,000 + Bonus + Training + Progression + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Test Engineer looking to deepen your technical expertise in an ISO/IEC 17025 environment, carrying out advanced testing and driving best practice in a specialist lab? Do you enjoy getting to root cause, improving methods, and being the person others rely on for technical clarity?

This is a secure, permanent position within an on-site test laboratory where you'll be trusted to make sound technical determinations, troubleshoot issues, and help shape how testing is done - not just "run the same test" day after day.

You’ll be joining a business that values robust processes and compliance, with real technical depth across product categories and the standards-driven culture to maintain UKAS accreditation and WRAS recognition.

In the role you will carry out routine and complex performance testing, develop/maintain test methods and documentation, oversee calibration and uncertainty budgets, and support internal stakeholders with clear, accurate reporting.

This role suits a technically driven engineer who wants status through expertise - becoming a recognised specialist in a laboratory environment, with ownership, variety, and high standards rather than chasing a generic job title move.

The Role:

• Advanced product performance testing, root cause investigation and corrective action recommendations (on-site laboratory)
• Calibration oversight, test rig/equipment maintenance, and developing test methods/equipment to meet regulatory requirements
• £35,000 - 40,000 + Bonus + Training + Progression + Excellent Benefits

The Person:

• Experience with the testing of mechanical products
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ISO 9001 beneficial
• Understanding of test procedures
• Commutable to Tamworth
