Senior Test Engineer

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior Informatica Test Engineer for a 12 Month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in either Newcastle, Blackpool, Leeds or Birmingham.

As a Senior Informatica Test Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
. Strong understanding of Test Management principles, including planning, estimation, scheduling, resource allocation, and dependency management.
. Experience reviewing business requirements, technical specifications, architecture designs, and data models to ensure testability and quality coverage.
. Expertise in defect management, root cause analysis, defect triage, and driving defects through to resolution.
. Ability to produce clear and concise test reporting, quality metrics, risk assessments, and progress updates for project stakeholders.
. Experience testing SAS-based data solutions, data transformation processes, and reporting outputs.
. Strong knowledge of ETL and data warehouse testing methodologies, including source-to-target validation, reconciliation, transformation testing, and migration testing.
. Experience designing and executing end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems and data platforms.
. Ability to design and implement robust synthetic test data strategies to support functional, integration, system, and non-functional testing.
. Experience validating data quality, data lineage, business rules, data integrity, completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
. Experience with batch processing, file-based interfaces, API testing, and large-scale data integration solutions.
. Ability to analyse complex data issues and perform detailed investigation using SQL, data profiling, and analytical techniques.
. Experience coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), and Production Verification Testing (PVT).
. Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery environments.

Essential:
. Proven experience working within Informatica
. Proven experience leading testing activities across complex data, ETL, and integration projects.
. Ability to define, implement, and manage project-wide Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Quality Assurance approaches.
. Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and coaching test engineers across multiple workstreams.
. Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels, including engineers, architects, product owners, delivery managers, and senior leadership.
. Experience providing test governance, quality assurance oversight, and risk-based testing recommendations throughout the delivery life cycle.
. Strong understanding of Test Management principles, including planning, estimation, scheduling, resource allocation, and dependency management.
. Experience reviewing business requirements, technical specifications, architecture designs, and data models to ensure testability and quality coverage.
. Expertise in defect management, root cause analysis, defect triage, and driving defects through to resolution.
