Senior Test Engineer

Overview

Security: Current SC or immediate eligibility. Where: Birmingham / hybrid (home + occasional client/site days). A high-growth digital consultancy with household-name clients, public-sector builds and interesting problems is hiring a Senior Test Engineer who can own the test strategy end-to-end and is comfortable with hands-on manual testing and scalable automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated tests with Playwright + Cucumber.
• Keep frameworks slick, reliable and fast; champion continuous improvement.
• Execute smart manual testing where it adds the most value.
• Deliver API and Accessibility testing (Axe or similar).
• Wire tests into Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Plan testing, estimate, surface risks, and lead defect triage.
• Mentor teammates; raise the quality bar across squads (UK & India).

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ automation experience with a solid manual testing backbone.
• ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced).
• Hands-on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform.
• Accessibility know-how (Axe or equivalent).
• Agile/Scrum native; clear communicator; proactive and delivery-driven.
