Overview
In this role you will design, execute, and maintain tests across manual and automated frameworks for Sepura’s LTE and TETRA platforms. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and system engineers to improve product quality and efficiency, contributing to cross-functional reviews and mentoring junior testers. You will work in a growth-focused, innovative tech environment and contribute to high-stakes, mission-critical communications products.
Responsibilities- Design and run functional, regression, system and performance tests for LTE and TETRA products
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases
- Read requirements and contribute to test planning, defect tracking, and stakeholder reporting
- Document quality metrics and test results
- Collaborate with software, hardware and system engineers to identify and resolve defects
- Maintain test environments and infrastructure for testing
- Participate in design and requirements reviews to provide testability feedback
- Mentor junior test engineers and contribute to team growth
- Travel as needed with valid driving licence; potential future security clearance
- 5+ years of manual and automation testing experience
- Experience with embedded systems, telecommunications, or mission-critical applications
- Strong communication and technical understanding
- Familiarity with TETRA and LTE technologies (desirable)
- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Jama)
- Hands-on testing with frameworks/tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Postman, JMeter)
- Understanding of APIs and backend testing
- Knowledge of protocols and interfaces (TCP/IP, UDP, Serial, Bluetooth)
- ISTQB certification (preferred)
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related field (per education)
