Senior Test Solutions Engineer

As a Senior Test Solutions Engineer within the Test Solutions team at Leonardo UK, you will develop and deliver world-class test solutions and system designs for multiple defence-focused projects. You’ll work across RF, digital and analogue test systems, contributing to system design, modelling and integration in a multidisciplinary environment. You’ll partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive requirements, reviews and technical reporting, shaping solutions for future technologies. • Create and capture test equipment requirements for RF, digital and analogue test systems
• Create and capture production test requirements for main equipment (PCB and system level)
• Contribute to RF and system design as well as test and integration activities
• Assess design integrity prior to design reviews
• Engage across the full engineering lifecycle and with suppliers
• Manage and influence requirements to enable development decisions
• Deliver concise technical reports to support programme decisions
• Maintain communication with the Project Engineering Manager/Lead
• Meet performance targets and participate in IPT-level decision making
• Support knowledge sharing and exploitation of best practice
• Participate in continuous improvement to develop engineering skills

• Experience on complex electronic and electromechanical systems with Aerospace and Defence background
• Solid understanding of test equipment development for production use
• Familiarity with the project lifecycle and Integrated Project Team environment
• Hands-on experience in designing/developing complex test solutions for full lifecycle
• Knowledge of the Systems engineering lifecycle
• Experience with external suppliers and outsourcing complex work packages
• Experience with NI LabVIEW & TestStand
• Degree qualified (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of airborne EW Systems
• Exposure to IBM DOORS and PDM tools
• Knowledge of test equipment across platform products
• Knowledge of Bus Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Power Meters
• Ability to make informed decisions from technical sources
• Strong communicator and presenter with stakeholder management
