Senior Test Solutions Engineer

In this senior role you will lead the design, development and validation of test solutions for complex electronic and electromechanical systems within the Surveillance and Protection Technologies business. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team to translate requirements into test equipment and production test assets, supporting the full engineering lifecycle. The role offers hybrid work and engagement with internal and external stakeholders on pivotal projects that shape future technologies. You will contribute to design reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement while delivering against project targets.

• Create and capture RF, Digital and Analog test equipment requirements
• Create and capture production test requirements for main equipment (PCB and system level)
• Contribute to RF and system design, test, and integration activities
• Assess design integrity prior to formal design reviews
• Engage in engineering meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Manage requirement levels to enable design decisions and influence design
• Produce technical reports and analysis to support programme decisions
• Maintain communication with the Project Engineering Manager/Lead and deliver against targets
• Support knowledge sharing and best practices
• Participate in continuous improvement to develop engineering discipline capabilities

• Experience with complex electronic and electromechanical systems in Aerospace/Defence
• Hands-on design/development of full lifecycle test solutions
• Understanding of Systems engineering lifecycle
• Experience with external suppliers and outsourcing complex work
• Experience with NI LabVIEW & TestStand
• Degree qualified (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of airborne EW systems
• Exposure to IBM DOORS and PDM tools
• Knowledge of test equipment across platform products
• Knowledge of Bus Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters
• Good decision-making based on technical sources
