Overview

As an STG Tools programmer at Frontier, you will build and maintain in-house Cobra tooling that powers cross-project game development. You’ll work with the UX and QA teams to shape workflows, document solutions, and mentor junior programmers. The role combines tool development with system understandability to streamline content creation for Cobra-based games. You’ll contribute to Cobra and its pipelines while promoting best practices across projects, in a collaborative, inclusive studio culture.

Responsibilities
  • Create and support development tools used to build games
  • Collaborate with UX to design workflows and pipelines
  • Write user and technical documentation to evangelise tools
  • Mentor and guide junior programmers to support growth
  • Contribute ideas to extend Cobra for improved workflows
  • Assist specialists to understand code that complements the tools
  • Own proprietary tools used with Cobra-based games
  • Promote best-use of existing tools for game development
Key requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of C# / .NET
  • Solid WPF / XAML skills
  • Experience in creation and support of complex software packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage competing demands for time
