Overview

Senior Traffic Control Engineer at AECOM leads specialist traffic control design and consultancy within the Technology Services group. Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist traffic control design and consultancy for internal and external clients
  • Produce design packages including drawings, reports, ITS1827 forms and MOVA datasets
  • Contribute to RAMS, hazard logs, and technical assurance evidence
  • Provide implementation support via FAT, SAT, MOVA, bus priority, and SCOOT validation
  • Collaborate with highways, structures, drainage, geotechnical and environment teams to integrate technology with civil/electrical works
  • Attend meetings and engage with clients across the UK
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with UK standards (DMRB, TSM, TSRGD) and CDM 2015
  • Support programme, cost and risk management; contribute to bids and proposals
  • Quality check technical deliverables against client brief and AECOM procedures
Key requirements
  • Knowledge of latest traffic control design standards and implementation processes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civils3D; ability to produce technically assured deliverables
  • Experience with MOVA designs/data and junction/corridor level operations
  • NHSS8 / HERS registered
  • Experience in traffic control design and MOVA control
