Senior Business Information Management Specialist – Treasury Data
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid, 4 days onsite
Duration: 12 months, with potential extension
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Information Management Specialist to support complex data initiatives within a banking Treasury environment.
This role combines Treasury product knowledge, advanced data analysis and data project delivery , with responsibility for translating business requirements into practical data solutions and ensuring requirements are implemented, tested and validated successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements reviews and ensure requirements are implemented, delivered and validated.
- Perform complex data analysis, profiling, reconciliation and validation using SQL and Python .
- Support data sourcing, onboarding, integration, lineage and source-to-target mapping.
- Analyze mapping and transformation rules and investigate complex data issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and partner with technology teams to resolve data defects.
- Support data initiatives and workflows within modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Establish and execute disciplined testing practices, including test planning, test cases, requirements traceability and regression testing.
- Coordinate defect triage, testing execution and test evidence.
- Collaborate with business, data and technology stakeholders to drive project delivery.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of advanced SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation and investigation.
- 5+ years of banking/financial services product experience , with strong knowledge of Treasury domains and exposure to investment and hedging products.
- Strong understanding of Treasury data and data product modelling .
- 5+ years delivering large-scale, complex data initiatives within banking or financial services.
- 5+ years of project testing experience , including test planning, requirements traceability, defect management and regression testing.
- Experience translating complex business requirements into technical/data solutions.
- Strong data management experience, including sourcing, integration, lineage and source-to-target mapping.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Broader Treasury product knowledge, including liquidity and capital .
- Databricks experience.
- CFA, CPA or FRM designation.
