Senior Verification and Validation Engineer

In this role you will drive verification, validation and integration activities across the engineering lifecycle for complex defence systems. You will plan and execute tests, produce procedures and reports, and support acceptance against customer requirements. You’ll collaborate with systems, software and hardware engineers and contribute to the continual improvement of V&V and test processes. The opportunity focuses on high-integrity hardware–software solutions in a regulated environment, with a clear path to impact delivery and safety-critical outcomes.

• Lead and execute V&V activities across the systems lifecycle
• Plan and support system and hardware testing
• Produce test procedures, verification docs and test reports
• Support integration and acceptance against requirements
• Participate in technical reviews, test readiness reviews and risk assessments
• Collaborate with systems, software and hardware engineers to resolve issues
• Drive continuous improvement of V&V and testing processes

• Experience delivering V&V across the engineering or systems lifecycle
• Experience with integration, testing and acceptance of complex systems
• Ability to develop and execute test procedures and produce technical docs
• Understanding of requirements management and traceability (ideally DOORS)
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and V&V methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis
• Experience with complex hardware, electrical and/or software systems
• Experience in defence, aerospace, security or other regulated engineering environments (advantageous)
• UK citizenship and eligibility for SC clearance
