Senior VMware Systems Administrator

Lead VMware virtualization and Windows Server administration as a Systems Administrator in Vancouver, BC, supporting hybrid infrastructure environments. Apply advanced troubleshooting across customer platforms.

This permanent Systems Administrator role supports diverse managed environments through design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement. You will work with VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID. The position serves as a Tier 3 escalation point and supports complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain VMware vSphere environments, clusters, networking, and resource pools
• Lead VMware upgrades, patching, compatibility reviews, and capacity planning
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Resolve complex VMware, Windows, Linux, and Microsoft 365 incidents
• Create operating procedures, technical baselines, documentation, and runbooks

Requirements:

• 8-10+ years of progressive systems administration experience
• Advanced hands-on VMware vSphere design and troubleshooting experience
• Strong Windows Server and infrastructure services expertise
• Strong enterprise Linux administration experience
• Availability for after-hours maintenance and on-call escalation rotation
