Server Systems Network Analyst

Support Exchange, VMware, Citrix, and Windows Server environments as a Network Analyst I with the City of Hamilton. Work spans infrastructure projects and daily operations.

The position administers server hardware and software, physical and virtual environments, storage, messaging, and collaboration platforms. It provides second and third level infrastructure support while maintaining secure configurations, operational records, and recovery capabilities. The analyst also works with vendors, Facilities, Security, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Exchange, virtualization, messaging, collaboration, and infrastructure applications
• Provide second and third level support for infrastructure-related issues
• Investigate incidents, recurring problems, outages, and service requests
• Manage authorized access, credentials, certificates, keys, and permissions
• Implement patches, firmware updates, hardware changes, and approved configurations

Requirements:

• Two to five years’ infrastructure administration and support experience
• Experience maintaining physical and virtual server environments and SAN storage
• Working knowledge of VMware, Citrix, backup, recovery, and power infrastructure
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and Cisco IOS
• Analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-resolution skills
