Introduction: Join our vibrant and dynamic team at our upscale Pur & Simple -Harbour Street restaurant in Toronto! We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food and beverage industry, we want to hear from you! Day shifts only from 7-3 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat customers with a warm and professional demeanor, taking their orders and serving food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any special requests or dietary concerns with utmost care and attention.
• Process payments and provide accurate receipts for all transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues with food quality or service.
• Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions accurately and professionally.
• Work full-time hours, typically 30-40 hours per week, with shifts that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Smart Serve certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a busy, high-traffic restaurant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in fine dining or high-end casual dining restaurants is a plus.
• Knowledge of wine and other beverages is desirable.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages commonly spoken by the restaurant’s clientele, are an added advantage.
