Service Software Engineer Controls

Bolton-based Service Software Engineer specializing in PLC programming, machine controls, and motion systems for Husky Technologies. Solve complex service issues globally.

This software engineer/designer supports Injection Molding Machine controls, including servo drives, servo hydraulics, and molding process control. You will follow an 8D process to analyze service data, investigate root causes, and develop permanent corrective actions. The work spans Husky product lines and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze service data and define systemic product problems
• Provide real-time software troubleshooting support to global teams
• Simulate service issues and test potential containment
• Complete root cause analyses and verify findings
• Develop, validate, and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in software, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Five-plus years designing and troubleshooting PLC structured text
• Five-plus years supporting complex industrial machine controls
• Strong knowledge of PC-based controls and motion controllers
• Working knowledge of industrial communication networks and protocols
