Settlement Services Information Specialist

Use settlement services knowledge and strong facilitation skills to connect newcomers with resources through the YMCA of Greater Toronto in Toronto.

As a Newcomer Information Referral Specialist, you will provide orientation, referrals, and relevant settlement information. You will also facilitate group sessions, develop guest speaker series, and cultivate community relationships. The part time contract requires availability for 20 hours weekly and may include evenings and Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide newcomers with orientation to YMCA services
• Maintain accurate and current member information
• Develop guest speaker series and group sessions
• Build and cultivate community outreach relationships
• Track program evaluation, follow-up, and progress reports

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a related field
• Demonstrated settlement and community information knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
