Shima Programmer

Role Title: Shima Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Shima Seiki Programmer to join our Research and Development team.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 38 hours per week on dayshift.

About The Role

You will transform design concepts into production-ready programs for our Shima Seiki knitting machines, ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency.

You will:

• Develop styles using SDS-ONE APEX systems


• Prepare machine-ready data


• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Shima Operators


• Maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability

About you

We are looking for a candidate with -

• Proven experience in Shima Seiki programming


• Strong understanding of knit structures, stitch development, and machine capabilities


• Ability to translate design packs into accurate, production-ready programs


• Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills


• Have a can-do attitude with an eye for detail


• A passion for innovation, craftsmanship, and new technology
