Shopify NLP Machine Learning Scientist

Shape Shopify commerce with NLP and LLM expertise as a Machine Learning Applied Scientist, working remotely by design where stated. Develop AI models that improve customer experiences and solve complex business challenges.

As a Machine Learning Applied Scientist, you will design, develop, and deploy models using NLP, LLMs, Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Your work will support effective, ethical, and scalable AI solutions across Shopify products and services. Research, experimentation, and analytical insight are central to the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design NLP and LLM machine learning models
• Integrate AI solutions into Shopify products
• Research new AI methodologies and technologies
• Optimize models for scalable production deployment
• Analyze datasets for product development insights

Requirements:

• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models
• Particular expertise with NLP and LLMs
• Python programming and TensorFlow or PyTorch experience
• Understanding of AI optimization and deployment strategies
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred, not required
