Overview
As Site Manager you will oversee end-to-end cabling delivery on UK and European projects, leading supervisors and engineers to meet safety, time, and quality targets. You’ll coordinate site teams, manage documentation, and provide progress updates to the Project Manager, while maintaining strong client communication. The role sits within a growing technology and connectivity business focused on data centre and commercial deployments. You will influence delivery quality and profitability through hands-on leadership and tight on-site management.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate site teams and engineers
- Oversee structured cabling installations and quality assurance
- Manage Health & Safety, risk assessments and method statements
- Control materials, stock and ordering
- Provide progress updates and reports to the Project Manager
- Perform quality checks and ensure standards compliance
- Read and update site drawings
- Attend client meetings and action follow-ups
- Produce project and installation documentation
- Develop patching schedules and implement on schedule
- Support O&M documentation and project handover
- Assist with urgent installation works
- Support commercial performance and project profitability
- Experience in structured cabling infrastructure
- Experience in data centres and/or commercial buildings/offices
- Strong knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A cabling installations
- Understanding of cabling product sets, especially in financial-sector environments
- Experience organizing and managing site teams
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to work under pressure with high workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and understanding requirements
