Overview

In this role you will own the reliability and scalability of Trimble’s Project Delivery Cloud Platform, hosting a reality capture solution on Azure. You will work with a distributed team to improve performance, security, and operability, applying IaC, automation, and robust incident response. You will partner with cross-functional teams to shape design reviews, runbooks, and incident management, delivering durable solutions. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving cloud environment where observability and efficient delivery are foundational. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and impact the platform at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for reliable, scalable environments
  • Enhance observability with tools like New Relic, DataDog, Sumologic and Splunk
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Github and related tooling
  • Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency
  • Evaluate designs for reliability, performance, security, and efficiency
  • Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
  • Create runbooks and procedures for incident response and operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review technical designs for SRE alignment
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage critical incidents
  • Improve documentation for systems and services
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of technical experience with ownership
  • Experience managing production infrastructure
  • Cloud experience with AWS & Azure
  • Proficient in Python and Terraform
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerisation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, GitHub)
  • Experience with monitoring/incident tools (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, CloudWatch, Sumologic)
