Site Reliability Engineer - Core

In this role, you will help scale and secure Blockchain.com's distributed financial platform, focusing on reliability and performance across a high-traffic system. You’ll work with the Core team to build tooling, improve observability, and educate developer groups to deliver features rapidly and safely. This position is key to reducing toil and increasing platform resilience in a fast-paced crypto environment. You will collaborate across teams to streamline workstreams and drive efficient, secure engineering solutions. - Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform
- Coordinate cross-team workstreams for efficient execution
- Centralize common workstreams to reduce duplication across developer teams
- Develop tooling to automate repetitive, manual tasks at scale
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with a high-caliber team
- Experience with containerization and service orchestration, including security best practices
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Golang, Python, Bash preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
- Experience with modern monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Telegraf)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools and Terraform is a plus
- Experience with configuration management (Saltstack a plus)
- Experience with GitOps/CI (Github Actions)
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka)
- Experience with database management
- Experience with data centers a plus
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols a plus
