In this SRE role within Axon’s Real Time Operations, you’ll build robust, cloud-native platforms to support mission-critical services and ensure high reliability for customers. You will collaborate with RTO teams to scale products for thousands of agencies worldwide and promote self-service tooling. The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, architectural influence, and clear documentation to empower engineers. You’ll work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that rewards ownership and continuous improvement.

- Build foundational, scalable platforms and tools to provision services securely and quickly
- Apply cloud-native SRE best practices across systems
- Write performant, maintainable code and debug distributed cloud-native systems
- Influence engineering practices and adopt improved architectural patterns
- Create robust documentation to enable self-service for engineers
- Take calculated risks and advocate for new ideas and craft
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and support scale
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience managing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Experience operating Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, or similar)
- Experience with managed languages (Python, Go, C#, Java)
- Experience using CI/CD to automate infrastructure, builds, tests, and releases
- Experience with observability tools (APM, logging, metrics) to diagnose issues
- Experience designing tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS/PaaS
- Familiarity with building flexible, testable Infrastructure as Code modules
