Job Description: Job Title Site Reliability Engineer / Senior Engineer Location London Corporate Title Vice President The Corporate Bank sits at the core of Deutsche Bank’s client franchise and is a market leader in Cash Management, Trade Finance and Lending, Securities Services, and Trust and Agency services. This role operates within Corporate Bank Production as a Senior Engineer in Enterprise SRE division, which supports critical client-facing platforms across multiple domains. Corporate Bank Production is focused on continuously improving production stability and our client experience, underpinned by a strong engineering culture that drives reduced incidents, faster resolution, and controlled change across the production environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Defining and implementing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and embed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve service reliability and operational excellence
• Establishing and enhancing comprehensive monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting systems to provide deep visibility into system health and performance
• Conducting in‑depth technical analysis of production platforms to identify, prioritize, and remediate performance, stability, and resilience issues
• Exploring and partnering with teams to prototype, and implement AI/ML solutions to enhance production support efficiency, including predictive incident detection, intelligent alerting, automated root cause analysis, and proactive anomaly detection
• Leading root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement preventative measures
• Building strong partnerships with global stakeholders across development, infrastructure, and production functions to proactively identify risks, define remediation strategies, and effectively manage change-related conflicts

Your skills and experience

• A university degree in a technological or scientific discipline, or equivalent professional experience, preferably within the financial services industry
• Extensive, hands‑on experience with Production Application Support and ITIL Practices with an SRE knowledge and mindset
• Proven ability to build effective partnerships, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the capability to operate successfully within a complex, global organisation
• Deep understanding of application Support and/or Development and complex IT infrastructure (UNIX, Database, Middleware, Cloud, Kubernetes, MQ etc.)
• Experience in application log and performance monitoring tools such as Geneos, Splunk, Grafana and New Relic - leveraging OpenTelemetry (OTEL) to establish End-To-End Monitoring across our business flows
• Good understanding of most recent technologies, be it cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure), programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python), databases (Postgres, BigQuery, MongoDB), Messaging (MQ, Kafka) or other solutions
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
